Steering the Course : A challenge to highlight the opportunities for women in sailing

About the Women’s Sailing Festival:

Preparations for the biggest ever Steering the Course global women’s sailing festival are almost complete as 23 national sailing associations, Member National Authorities (MNAs), Yacht Clubs and sailing teams put the finishing touches to nine days of events designed to highlight the opportunities for women and girls in sailing and encourage pathways into coaching and race management.

In just over a week, hundreds of sailors across the world will take to the water for female-led sailing sessions and taster courses.

Steering the Course on Virtual Regatta Inshore:

On Virtual Regatta Inshore, you will have the opportunity to take part to the virtual Steering the Course starting from Monday, the 23rd of May at 12pm UTC.

The challenge will change every 2 days at 12pm midday UTC:
  • Day 1 & 2, you will be sailing in an ILCA in Barbados
  • Day 3 & 4, you will be sailing with a 49er, in Copenhagen, Denmark
  • Day 4 & 6, you will be sailing with the Nacra 17, in Plymouth, UK
