Princesa Sofia Regatta kicks off the season!

Get ready for a hectic season on the virtual seas⚡

The 2024 eSailing World Championship is kicking off its first thrilling challenge from 📆March 17th to March 25th with the virtual edition of Princesa Sofia Regatta.

It’s time to set sail on an exhilarating adventure of 6️⃣opportunities to qualify for challenge finals which will open the doors to the Grand Final!

Thousands of eSailors from around the globe will compete fiercely in this prestigious event to take back the crown from the former champion 👑 Tristan Peron (Asere).

Players with an exceptional track record can hope to clinch a 🃏wildcard spot in the championship.

A host of brand new venues will also be revealed, as well as the possibility of national rankings via the World Sailing’s national member associations – and there will be multiple opportunities to enter the later stages of the Championships at the end of September.

2024 marks the sevenh year of Virtual Regatta‘s partnership with World Sailing, and the sixth anniversary of the popular eSailing World Championship.

So hoist your sails, catch the perfect wind, and embark on this epic journey. Wishing you fair winds and following seas. Good luck, captains! 🌊⛵🍀


During the Qualifying Series, sailors engage in 6️⃣ challenges, each culminating in an 8️⃣0️⃣-sailor challenge final.

Following the finals, a Semi-final is held on 7 & 8 September 2024, where 8️⃣0️⃣ players vie for advancement to the Grand-final. This stage is pivotal as sailors compete fiercely to secure a coveted spot in the showdown.

Finally, the Grand-final brings together the top 1️⃣0️⃣players and the possibility of 2️⃣ wildcards for an electrifying live and in-person event.

It’s the ultimate test of skill and strategy as sailors battle it out to claim the prestigious title of eSailing World Champion.

The 2022 season has been very challenging, with all the qualifying process to reach the ESWC grand final. As the overall level is getting better and better each year, we have to find new ways to improve our playing skills. I which everyone to have good fun this year again !

I like the new format, it allows to the best esailors to face off in a finals setting with the added pressure. We are all aiming for a spot in the grand final. I hope to qualify to the ESWC Grand Final again this year, but the most important is to enjoy while playing !
