The Vendée Globe

The Vendée Globe is currently the biggest single-handed, non-stop, non-assisted round-the-world sailing race. Since 2008, Virtual Regatta allows you to participate virtually in this major event nicknamed the Everest of the seas, starting and finishing in Les Sables d’Olonne.

Aboard their Imoca, thousands of eSailors have already completed this mythical race. The 2020 edition remains the most important one, with more than 1 million skippers who took part in the adventure, and more than 450,000 of them have managed to reach the finish. A record!

The Vendee Globe 2020, historical!

Since 2008, the number of players participating in the Vendée Globe has been growing steadily, reaching a historic figure in 2020.

The 2020 edition of this mythical event on Virtual Regatta was memorable in many ways. It is the first time that more than 1 million players were on the water at the same time to attempt this round the world race.

More than 450,000 skippers completed the race, the same number of skippers who were registered for the 2016 edition.

The next appointment is given for November 2024, for an edition that promises to be just as exceptional!
