Will the French manage to keep their title in 2022?

Every year on Virtual Regatta Inshore, several nations compete on different challenges to determine who is the best country!
Last year, after an intense match between the French team and the English team, the French finally won this competition, proving to the esailing community that they were the best nation.

In 2022, the tournament is back on Virtual Regatta Inshore!

Kick Off on the 3rd of October 2022!

During the group stage, teams will play a simple round-robin, i.e. they play a match against all the other teams in their group.

A match between 2 teams will consist of the following 5 rounds:

1st race: 10 v 10, 49er, Upwind Long, 21kts

2nd race: 3 V 3, Laser, Upwind Short, 23 kts

3rd race: 2 V 2, F50, Upwind Long, 22 kts

4th race: 4 V 4, J70, Upwind Medium, 20 kts

5th race: 5 V 5, Offshore Racer, Upwind Medium, 24 kts

The top 2 teams in each group will then qualify for the knockouts.

Quarter Final

Congratulations to the quarter finalists!

Eight teams have now advanced to the quarter-finals.

Two nations, France and Italy, have already reserved their spots in the semi-finals and they are now waiting for the results of the remaining quarter-final matches to find out their opponents.

As the levels are quite high at this stage, we are to witness top-notch matches presented to you by some of the best e-skippers in this game.

Knockout Stage – Race Format

During the knockout stage, each match between 2 teams will consist of the following 9 races

1st race: 10 v 10, 49er, Upwind Long, 21kts

2nd race: 1 V 1, Female, Star, Upwind Short, 20 kts

3rd race: 5 V 5, Offshore Racer, Upwind Medium, 24 kts

4th race: 4 V 4, J70, Upwind Medium, 21 kts

5th race: 3 V 3, Laser, Upwind Short, 23 kts

6th race: 4 V 4, Fareast 28r, Upwind Medium, 21 kts

7th race: 1 V 1, Male, Star, Upwind Short, 20 kts

8th race: 2 V 2, F50, Reaching Long, 20 kts

9th race: 10 V 10, Nacra 17, Upwind Long, 22 kts
